PHP Version

To ensure that elements that use PHP (i.e. Email Form, Page Hit Counter, etc.) function properly, users must enter the version of PHP installed on the web server. This can be done in Project Preferences, under the Advanced tab.

How to Find the PHP Version

  • The PHP version is often indicated in the information provided by your hosting provider.
  • If not, the version can be found by taking the following steps (Tutorial provided by forum user PPI33):

Create a text file and save it as 'phpinfo.php' with the following code in it:

<?php 

phpinfo(); 

?>

Upload this file to the root of your web server and then open it with a web browser. You will se something like this:

The version is displayed in the header. In this instance, the PHP version is: 4.4.3-dev
